Location: Detriot, MI
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite
Job Type: Contract, 12 months
Pay Range: $33-34 per hour
 

Position Overview

We are seeking a Billing Analyst to support billing operations and customer inquiries across Small, Middle, and Key & Large group business. This role will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing both routine and complex billing inquiries, maintaining group customer billing systems, and supporting month-end financial activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced Microsoft Excel experience, and a background in billing, accounting, financial operations, or a similar environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and review routine and complex customer billing inquiries.
• Support the configuration and maintenance of group customer billing systems.
• Assist with month-end financial activities.
• Analyze data and prepare accurate reports.
• Review financial information for accuracy and completeness.
• Work independently while managing responsibilities within a complex environment.
• Build strong working relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong overall Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong ability to analyze data and produce accurate reporting.
• Advanced analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience working in a customer-driven environment.
• Billing, accounting, or similar office management experience.
• Strong financial acumen.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently in a complex environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience conducting variance analysis and account reconciliation.
• Experience reviewing and preparing financial information for accuracy and completeness.
• Experience collaborating between IT-driven teams and business teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a similar field is preferred.
