A large, nationally recognized professional services organization is seeking a Legal Billing Administrator to join its high-performing Finance Operations team. This role serves as a senior member of the billing department, supporting a large attorney population while partnering closely with billing specialists, legal support teams, and finance leadership.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced legal billing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background managing complex billing processes, attorney relationships, and electronic invoicing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full billing lifecycle for a high-volume portfolio of attorneys and client matters.
  • Support billing operations for a practice group consisting of more than 100 attorneys across multiple disciplines.
  • Review and process prebills, billing adjustments, write-downs, write-offs, transfers, and final invoices.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of invoices through electronic billing platforms and vendor portals.
  • Partner with attorneys, legal assistants, and finance personnel to resolve billing issues and maintain invoice accuracy.
  • Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), unbilled time, accruals, aging reports, and outstanding billing items.
  • Generate, review, and analyze billing, accounts receivable, and financial reporting data.
  • Maintain client-specific billing guidelines, rate structures, and special billing arrangements.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior billing team members as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and departmental projects within the finance organization.
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of legal billing experience within a large law firm environment supporting multiple attorneys.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with Elite 3E or Aderant (required).
  • Strong knowledge of eBillingHub and electronic invoicing processes.
  • Experience supporting high-volume attorney groups and complex client billing arrangements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
