Ultimate Staffing is partnering with a company in Commerce, CA who is looking to hire a Bilingual Spanish Benefits and Leaves Administrator. The pay for this role is $30-$37 based on experience.
The Bilingual Spanish HR Benefits & Leave Specialist is responsible for administering employee benefits programs and managing leave of absence (LOA) processes. This role serves as a key resource for employees by providing benefits education, open enrollment support, and guidance regarding leaves of absence. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish and has experience with benefits administration, leave management, and employee communication.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
- Support annual open enrollment activities, including employee communications, benefit elections, and system updates.
- Assist employees with benefits-related questions and provide guidance on plan options and eligibility.
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate with benefit vendors and insurance carriers to resolve enrollment and claims issues.
- Maintain accurate employee benefits records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Leave of Absence Administration
- Manage and process employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, disability, personal leave, parental leave, and workers' compensation-related leaves.
- Review leave requests and supporting documentation for completeness and eligibility.
- Communicate leave rights, responsibilities, and timelines to employees and managers.
- Track leave status, return-to-work dates, and required certifications.
- Coordinate with third-party leave administrators, healthcare providers, and payroll teams as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local leave laws.
Employee Support & Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits and leave inquiries.
- Provide bilingual support in English and Spanish for employee communications and documentation.
- Conduct benefits and leave-related orientations and informational sessions.
- Assist with the development of employee benefits and leave materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in benefits administration and leave of absence management.
- Experience supporting annual open enrollment processes.
- Knowledge of employee benefits programs, eligibility requirements, and enrollment procedures.
- Working knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, ADA, state disability programs, and other applicable leave regulations.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, UKG, or similar systems.
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience working in a high-volume employee support environment.
