    The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a reputable, mission-driven healthcare organization providing primary care to underserved populations in Los Angeles, CA. We are seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Registered Dietitian to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nutrition services that support high-quality patient care across the organization’s health clinics.

    Reporting to the Director of Clinical Quality & Compliance, you will provide nutrition counseling, education, and support to patients and community members while collaborating with healthcare professionals to promote better health outcomes.

    What You’ll Do

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assess patients’ dietary and nutritional needs and provide individualized nutrition counseling and clinical interventions to patients with a variety of conditions including
      • Pregnancy
      • Childhood and adult obesity & eating disorders
      • Diabetes, hyperlipidemia and hypertension
    • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nutrition and meal plans based on patient needs and medical conditions
    • Monitor patient outcomes and adjust nutrition plans as needed
    • Provide nutrition and obesity-prevention education for patients and community members
    • Develop and support culturally appropriate nutrition education programs, including perinatal nutrition, childhood obesity prevention, and diabetes self-management
    • Collaborate with providers, case managers, health educators, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patients’ medical and nutritional needs
    • Promote healthy eating, wellness, and access to nutritious foods, including fruits and vegetables
    • Develop resources to educate families on healthy grocery shopping and food preparation
    • Participate in community outreach, public education initiatives, meetings, trainings, and other work-related events
    • Support evening and/or weekend activities as needed
    • Supervise Registered Dietitian students when applicable
    • Perform other duties as assigned or needed

    What We Are Looking For

    Education, Experience and Certifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Nutritional Science, or a related field
    • 2+ years of experience in a community health center preferred
    • Experience providing nutrition education and one-on-one nutrition counseling
    • Experience developing or adapting nutrition education programs and curriculum
    • Experience working with underserved and diverse populations preferred
    • Registered Dietitian credential required
    • Basic CPR certification required

    Additional Requirements

    • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required, including reading, writing, and speaking
    • Valid CA Driver’s License and reliable vehicle required for clinic and community travel
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Relationship building skills with patients, community members and coworkers
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based applications
    • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend and lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and regular attendance
