Our prestigious client is seeking a Production Manager is to manage day-to-day production activities in order to meet company targets for customer satisfaction, profitability, and growth. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Manage and develop direct reporting staff, including hiring, training, and discipline
- Balance direct labor between work centers based on production work loading in order to achieve the highest labor utilization
- Apply Lean Manufacturing concepts to improve manufacturing processes and to achieve the highest efficiency contributing to company profitability
- Work closely with QA to maintain and improve product quality
- Manage effectively communication throughout the organization
- Support product development activities by contributing knowledge, provide direct labor and participate to related group discussions and meetings
- Understand the ERP system for day-to-day production management and generating reports
- Enforce company policy throughout the workforce in the factory
- Ensure employees follow safety rules
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and manufacturing skills, as provides by the company or elsewhere subject to company approval
- Experience in furniture manufacturing preferred

QUALIFICATIONS - Lean Manufacturing principles
- Experienced in Wood, Metal, and Upholstery furniture industry
- 10 plus years of experience in a high production environment, with 5 years of managerial experience
- Basic computer skill – Microsoft Word and Excel
- Management skill on managing and working with factory employees
- High energy level and willing to work long hours
- Bilingual – speak English and Spanish a MUST
- MUST be able to manage a union a shop
