    Description

    The Bilingual Physician Support Specialist travels with an assigned Physician between our Tampa and Riverview offices weekly and maintains effective and organized systems to ensure effective scheduling and timely patient flow. Provides a smooth and pleasant patient experience and ensures physician's office schedule is organized and efficient. This is an administrative role, NOT a clinical or Medical Assistant role.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Coordinates Physician's schedule to maximize efficiency between clinics, surgeries, meetings, and conference calls and administratively assists to keep Provider on task to ensure smooth workflow and continuity of appointments Communicates effectively and flexibly responds to changing demands. Triages telephone messages and returns calls to provide timely answers to patients/physicians/pharmacies/attorneys, etc. Collaborates with coworkers, management, patients, visitors, and Physicians to achieve Practice goals. Rooms, interviews, and transports patients via wheelchair making appointment and scheduling adjustments as required. Addresses scheduling, authorization, and billing issues with an appropriate sense of urgency to ensure prompt and successful resolutions. Performs other non-clinical duties as directed or assigned.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Ability to safely push and maneuver occupied wheelchairs up to 75 pounds of force. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Able to spend prolonged periods sitting at a desk while working on a computer, standing, walking, and navigating hallways, elevators, and outdoor walkways.
