What You'll Do<\/span><\/span><\/span>

As an Outreach & Enrollment Specialist, you'll become a trusted resource for patients by helping them navigate insurance, financial assistance programs, and available healthcare services.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Your responsibilities will include:<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

  • Guide patients through registration, enrollment, and appointment scheduling<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Assist patients with insurance applications, renewals, and eligibility verification<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Conduct financial screenings and help patients qualify for discounted healthcare services<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Educate patients on available programs, benefits, and community resources<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Help remove barriers to care by coordinating transportation, interpretation services, and community referrals<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Build strong relationships with patients while providing exceptional customer service<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation within the electronic medical record<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Partner with clinical and administrative teams to improve patient engagement and continuity of care<\/span><\/span><\/span>

  • Participate in community outreach events to educate and connect patients with healthcare services<\/span><\/span><\/span>

    Qualifications<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

    • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • High School Diploma or GED<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • 1 -2 years of experience in a healthcare setting such as:<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      • Medical Assistant<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Patient Services Representative (PSR)<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Medical Receptionist<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Patient Access Representative<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Referral Coordinator<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Insurance Verification Specialist<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Healthcare Enrollment or Eligibility Specialist<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
      • FQHC experience is a plus, but not required<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Experience working with an Electronic Health Record (NextGen preferred)<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>

        • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities<\/span><\/span><\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Experience verifying insurance or working with Medi -Cal, Medicare, or Covered California (preferred)<\/span><\/span><\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Comfort using Microsoft Office and healthcare software systems<\/span><\/span><\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team<\/span><\/span><\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Reliable transportation for occasional community outreach activities<\/span><\/span><\/span>
