COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• $18–$21 per hour BOE
• Monday–Thursday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Friday | 8:30 AM–3:00 PM
• Temporary-to-Hire | 6-month initial assignment

ROLE IMPACT

The Bilingual Patient Services Specialist 2 provides administrative and patient relations support in a busy bariatric clinic while proactively engaging prospective patients. This role combines front desk and healthcare support with frequent outbound outreach to marketing-generated leads, building rapport and guiding patients from their initial inquiry through a scheduled consultation. Success requires a confident, consultative approach, strong follow-up habits, and genuine enthusiasm for helping patients navigate their care options.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Make frequent outbound calls to prospective patients, educate them on bariatric surgery options, address questions or hesitations, and convert inquiries into scheduled consultations.
• Serve as a key point of contact from initial inquiry through consultation, maintaining patient engagement and helping reduce no-shows and drop-off.
• Support front desk operations, including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, demographic updates, phone inquiries, and patient registration.
• Process payments, enter charges using appropriate codes, generate daily payment reports, and provide accurate medical, financial, and procedural information as appropriate.
• Maintain organized lead and patient records, respond professionally to escalated inquiries or concerns, and assist with training or mentoring junior staff as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bilingual Spanish/English fluency required
• 3+ years' Healthcare front desk or patient services experience, including patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification.
• Strong outbound communication skills with the confidence to build rapport, overcome objections, follow up consistently, and work toward call volume and conversion goals.
• Strong computer, documentation, and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate patient and lead information while managing multiple priorities.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Previous multispecialty healthcare experience.
• Experience with high-volume outbound calling, lead conversion, appointment setting, or other goal-driven patient outreach.
