About the Role:
We are looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice in Pomona, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated medical team where your administrative skills and patient-first attitude will make a real difference every day.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, taking messages as needed
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
- Maintain and update accurate patient records and electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and follow-up appointments
- Ensure front desk area is organized, clean, and running efficiently
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a medical office setting preferred
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical scheduling software
- Knowledge of medical insurance, co-pays, and prior authorizations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification required
- Medical Assistant Diploma
