About the Role:
ROP Consultants Of Florida PA is looking for a bilingual Medical Office Specialist to join our specialized pediatric ophthalmology team in Boca Raton, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young patients and their families by delivering exceptional front-office support in a caring, fast-paced clinical environment.



Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in pediatric patients and their families in both English and Spanish
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals
  • Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and process co-pays and billing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and patient files
  • Serve as a bilingual liaison between clinical staff and Spanish-speaking patients/families
  • Answer multi-line phone system, respond to inquiries, and relay messages to providers
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies
Requirements:
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) — required
  • Prior experience in a medical office, ophthalmology, or specialty clinic setting preferred
  • Familiarity with medical billing, insurance verification, and prior authorizations
  • Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and general office software
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume pediatric specialty environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification a plus
