HotFoot Recruiters is hiring a Bilingual Legal Specialist (Mandarin/English) to support the legal and compliance operations of a growing international semiconductor organization in North Phoenix, Arizona. This role will work closely with Legal Counsel to support commercial contract management, legal research, and cross-border legal matters across multiple business functions.

This position is ideal for a Mandarin-speaking legal professional who is comfortable working in a dynamic, international business environment and interested in helping build and support the company's legal function as it continues to expand in the U.S.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $81,149
Schedule: 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and revise commercial agreements and business contracts, using standard templates or developing new language when needed.
  • Support cross-border contracts and business arrangements involving employees, vendors, subcontractors, and international partners.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare clear, practical summaries and recommendations for internal stakeholders and Legal Counsel.
  • Identify potential legal risks and compliance considerations, and recommend practical solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Assist with contract lifecycle management, including execution tracking, obligation monitoring, and record maintenance.
  • Maintain organized corporate, contract, and compliance documentation for legal and regulatory purposes.
  • Respond to internal legal questions within scope and escalate complex matters when necessary.
  • Assist with compliance reviews, audits, and regulatory documentation requests.
  • Contribute to the development of legal templates, playbooks, and internal legal processes as the company grows.
Qualifications
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate effectively across cultures.
  • Law degree required (J.D., LL.M., or foreign equivalent).
  • 2-5 years of legal experience, including direct experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts.
  • Capable of managing multiple legal matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong professional judgment and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to independently review and draft contracts within a defined scope.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and issue-spotting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting cross-border legal matters or international business operations.
  • Prior in-house legal department experience.
  • Experience advising on commercial contracts while balancing legal risk with business objectives.
  • Comfortable working in a growing organization where legal processes are still developing.
