What You'll Get To Do:

The Part-Time International HR supports the International Human Resources function through HR data management, payroll-related administration, reporting, document preparation, and project coordination activities. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate employee and assignment records, supporting HR operations, and assisting the IHR Director with strategic and operational U.S.-Japan initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in both Japanese and English business environments.

Data Management & Administration

• Maintain and update IHR databases and tracking tools.
• Ensure employee and assignment data are accurate, complete, and up to date.

Payroll & Reporting Support

• Prepare payroll-related data, reconcile information, generate reports, and assist with recurring HR and payroll processes.

Document Preparation & Coordination

• Prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, presentations, policy documents, and HR-related materials in both Japanese and English.

Project & Japan Communication Support

• Support U.S.-Japan HR initiatives, special projects, data gathering, meeting coordination, and project follow-up activities.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Knowledge and ability to utilize AI tools

Competencies

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Communication Requirements

• Fluent Japanese reading and writing required
• Business-level English communication skills preferred

Other Requirements

• Part-time schedule (2 days per week)
• No business travel expected

The hourly wage range of $30.00 - $40.00 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.

The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
