Mid-Columbia Insurance is hiring a bilingual (English and Spanish) auto insurance sales agent for our Kennewick office.

We've been a local independent agency since 1995 serving the Tri-Cities.

Many of our clients have been turned down or dropped by the big carriers you see advertising on TV, and we help them find coverage.

Because we're independent, we shop multiple highly rated carriers to find the right fit for each person.

There's no cold calling here.

We invest heavily in marketing, so you'll work leads from digital marketing, referrals, and our existing clients, as well as many inbound calls requesting a quote.

You spend your time advising clients and closing sales, not searching for prospects.

What we offer

• $20/hour base, plus commission & bonuses once licensed.
• First-year earning potential of $60,000 to $80,000+
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., in our Kennewick office
• Training, and help getting licensed if you aren't already
• Paid vacation and sick leave

Experience in the industry isn't necessary.

We're looking for a motivated person who is self-driven, enjoys talking with people and wants to earn more by working harder.

Your main goal will always be to put each client's best interest first so they're properly protected.

Responsibilities

• Work agency-provided leads and inbound calls and turn them into bound policies
• Quote, present and sell personal auto insurance, including SR-22 and broadform, and other personal lines when clients need them
• Follow up consistently with prospects and clients throughout the sales process
• Conduct coverage reviews and find ways to better protect clients
• Serve Spanish- and English-speaking clients by phone, in person, and in writing
• Build long-term relationships that lead to referrals and repeat business
• Keep accurate notes and activity records in our agency system
• Follow carrier guidelines, agency procedures, licensing rules, and all applicable insurance laws
• Treat every client with honesty, professionalism and integrity

• Able to get Washington Personal Lines or P&C license within 3 months of hire (Assistance Provided)
• Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written
• Able to work full time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., in our Kennewick office
• Excellent phone rapport and customer service skills
• Self-driven, takes ownership of results and follows up without being reminded
• Insurance or sales experience is a plus but not required
