About You
You are a self-directed, service-focused, team-player who brings at least a year of experience in a similar role and you have:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Paralegal experience required, preferably in immigration law
Fluency in English and Georgian/Russian (spoken & written); additional language skills are a plus.
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to work well under pressure
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Comfort working with diverse clients
Strong writing skills
Excellent research skills
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, and able to learn new programs, systems, or applications quickly
About the Job
Paralegals play a key role in assisting our attorneys, performing tasks like preparing immigration filings, research, and legal writing, while our attorneys are responsible for representing clients in court, and signing applications and filings. We are seeking a bilingual (English + Georgian/Russian) paralegal to join our team to assist in a wide range of immigration cases, including but not limited to:
Preparing and filing forms and applications for US Immigration and Citizenship Services, Immigration Court, Asylum Office, and the Department of Labor
Interviewing clients and preparing their applications for various immigration cases
Providing accurate translation services for non-English-speaking clients
Organizing, analyzing, and managing client data and supporting documentation
Managing the caseload from intake through processing and filing
Keeping cases on track by updating status reports and managing deadlines
Reviewing and proofreading documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
Providing critical administrative support that keeps our team running smoothly
