Bilingual HR Generalist - $70k-$80k - Northern NJ

We're seeking a hands-on, bilingual HR Generalist who thrives in fast-paced environments to join a growing manufacturing company. This is a highly visible HR Generalist role that offers broad exposure to employee relations, payroll, benefits, recruiting, and day-to-day partnership with both operations leadership and employees on the production floor.

This position is five days a week on-site in Paterson, NJ. Candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

In this role, you'll partner closely with leadership while supporting employees across production, warehouse, and office teams. Day to day, you'll handle a diverse mix of responsibilities including employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, recruiting, and general HR support.

Success in this position requires a hands-on, customer-service-oriented approach, as you'll serve as a trusted resource for employees, managers, and operations leaders throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional with experience supporting a large hourly workforce in a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or similar operational environment. They will have experience across core HR functions such as employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, and compliance, along with the ability to balance day-to-day employee support with longer-term business needs.

Description

• Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and managers across production, warehouse, and office teams.
• Manage employee relations matters, onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, and day-to-day HR support.
• Process and support weekly payroll while maintaining accurate employee records in the HRIS.
• Coordinate recruiting activities for hourly and salaried positions, including interviewing, offer generation, and onboarding.
• Partner with operations leadership to support workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, and compliance initiatives.
• Assist with workers' compensation, safety programs, and adherence to employment laws and company policies.

Profile

A successful HR Generalist should have:

• 3+ years of HR experience supporting a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or other operational workforce.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Proven experience with employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, and HR compliance.
• Comfortable working directly with hourly employees and building strong relationships across all levels of an organization.
• Customer-service-focused approach with a willingness to be visible and accessible on the floor.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
