digitalLIFT seeks contract instructors (up to 20 hours a week, pay rate $30 per hour) to provide basic digital literacy training and tech support to older adults in person in San Francisco, California.digitalLIFT is a nonprofit organization founded in 2007. We believe that access to the Internet is a human right and that those without the skills to use a computer are at risk of social and economic disadvantage. We provide digital skills training while helping our learners acquire home internet and a device. The heart of digitalLIFT is our instructors who train individuals and communities and help them live better lives by staying connected and having access to more information and opportunities.Duties & Responsibilities1. Deliver Digital Literacy TrainingProvide digital literacy training to adults in-person at partner sites in Solano County, California and remotely if neededFollow an established curriculum to provide 1-on-1 or group training to help adults develop skills to safely and confidently use technologyAdjust curriculum to address identified needs within a student cohort2. Community Outreach Support and Public RelationsAct as digitalLIFT representative and liaison within digitalLIFT learner communitiesSurvey community members to understand needs, interest and availability to participate in the programCommunicate class schedule and send reminders to assure participants attendanceContribute content to the digitalLIFT website and monthly e-newsletter3. Service Delivery CoordinationPerform site visits at partner locations to ensure proper class set-upsConfigure devices based on set-up guidelinesPrepare training materials and documents for trainers and learnersEnsure compliance with project requirementsAddress issues or escalate to Program Manager4.
