Join our dynamic team in Mebane, NC as a Big Machine Operator. In this hands-on contract role, you will be at the forefront of plastic product manufacturing, operating advanced blow molding and injection molding equipment. [Responsibilities]
- Operate and monitor blow molding machinery, ensuring efficient and safe production
- Start and stop machines; assist with equipment set-up and breakdown under supervision
- Adjust controls, resolve minor mechanical issues, and install molds and components
- Identify and use correct resins; perform post-molding operations such as trimming, reaming, drilling, and grinding
- Inspect products for quality, report issues promptly, and maintain accurate production records
- Keep work area and equipment clean and organized
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies
- Support team operations and adapt to changing priorities as directed by leadership
[Required Skills and Experience]
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years' experience in extrusion blow molding operations
- Basic skills in reading, writing, and math
- Proficiency with mold set-up and machine adjustments
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs.
- Strong teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
[Preferred Skills]
- Familiarity with various resins used in extrusion processing
- Experience with secondary manufacturing equipment
- Detail-oriented approach to mold care and preventative maintenance
