Bid Coordinator | Structural Steel Fab Estimating

Are you the organized one who keeps a busy estimating team on deadline? A structural steel fabrication company in Pearland, Texas is hiring a Bid Coordinator to run its bid process, from the moment an invitation to bid lands to the moment a complete, on-time proposal is submitted.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble complete bid packages and proposals (forms, bonds, and qualifications) and get them submitted on time
• Monitor invitations to bid, due dates, and pre-bid meetings, and keep the bid log and calendar current
• Collect detailing, erection, galvanizing, and paint pricing from vendors and subcontractors, following up until every quote is received
• Download, organize, and distribute plans, specifications, and addenda to the estimators
• Track bid results and maintain accurate bid board and CRM records
• Coordinate with estimators, project managers, and customers to resolve RFIs and clarifications

Requirements:

• 2+ years of construction experience in bid coordination, estimating support, or project administration, with steel fabrication experience preferred
• Comfort reading construction drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of bid platforms such as BuildingConnected or ConstructConnect
• Advanced Excel skills and disciplined document management
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several deadlines at the same time

Pay: $65,000 to $90,000 annually.
