Bid Coordinator (Estimating Dept.) - Structural Steel Fabrication

A structural steel fabrication company in Pasadena, Texas is adding a Bid Coordinator to its estimating department. In this role you own the bid process from start to finish: you track every opportunity as it comes in, keep documents and pricing moving, and make sure each complete proposal is submitted before the deadline.

What You'll Handle:

• Track incoming invitations to bid, bid due dates, and pre-bid meetings, and maintain the bid log and calendar
• Download plans, specifications, and addenda, keep them organized, and distribute them to the estimating team
• Reach out to vendors and subcontractors for detailing, erection, galvanizing, and paint pricing, and chase quotes until they arrive
• Work with estimators, project managers, and customers to resolve RFIs and clarifications
• Put together complete bid packages and proposals, including forms, bonds, and qualifications, and submit them on time
• Log bid results and keep the bid board and CRM data current

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of construction experience in bid coordination, estimating support, or project administration; steel fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to read construction drawings and specs
• Proficiency in Excel and solid document management habits
• Experience with bid platforms like BuildingConnected or ConstructConnect
• Excellent organization and the ability to juggle several deadlines at once

Salary: $65,000 to $90,000 per year.
