Manager, Business Intelligence & AnalyticsPosition Summary
The Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of data-driven solutions that support operational excellence across a large field-based workforce. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to deliver analytics products, reporting platforms, and operational insights that improve customer experiences, drive efficiency, and support strategic business initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines business process expertise, analytics leadership, and product management experience to help shape and execute a long-term data and digital transformation strategy. This position also provides direct leadership and development for members of the analytics team.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong communication skills, operational acumen, and experience delivering enterprise-scale BI and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and evolve the organization's BI and analytics product lifecycle framework, leveraging Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD best practices.
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to define business requirements, use cases, process flows, functional specifications, testing strategies, training materials, and deployment plans.
- Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress to ensure successful delivery of analytics and reporting initiatives.
- Analyze and profile data from multiple source systems to support reporting, operational insights, and decision-making.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of analytics product roadmaps aligned with long-term operational and technology objectives.
- Support business case development and cost-benefit analysis to evaluate solution effectiveness and strategic value.
- Prepare and present operational performance metrics, business insights, and project updates to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Partner with operational teams to understand current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate business needs into actionable product enhancements.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and adoption of new tools, reports, and analytics capabilities.
- Manage and mentor analysts, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Support vendor relationships and external partners involved in analytics, reporting, and technology initiatives.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Minimum 3 years of experience leading technology implementations, product development initiatives, or process improvement programs within a large enterprise environment.
- At least 3 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Experience building and deploying operational reporting solutions and performance dashboards.
- Strong ability to analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, visibility, and decision-making through technology and analytics.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments; formal project management training or certification is preferred.
- Understanding of enterprise technology support models and operational support frameworks.
- Experience managing or supporting third-party vendor relationships.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio.
Preferred Industry Experience- Experience supporting operational environments within transportation, logistics, field services, waste management, distribution, fleet operations, or other asset-intensive industries.
- Familiarity with large-scale field operations and workforce management processes is highly desirable.
Minimum Qualifications- 5+ years of experience working within transportation, logistics, fleet operations, industrial services, waste hauling operations, or a related operational environment.
- Alternatively, equivalent experience in a consulting, technology, analytics, or operational support role serving large enterprise clients may be considered.
- Prior people leadership experience with direct management responsibilities preferred.
Work Location
This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona and follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring employees to work onsite four days per week and remotely one day per week.
Travel up to 10% may be required.
