Beverage Equipment Service Technician

Pay: $24.00–$27.00 per hour

The Talent Shop is partnering with a beverage equipment and service provider to hire a Beverage Equipment Service Technician. This hands-on role supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of fountain soda systems, juice dispensing equipment, and bulk carbon dioxide systems at customer locations.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install beverage dispensing equipment at new customer locations.

  • Service, maintain, and troubleshoot fountain soda, syrup, juice, and bulk CO? systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve product quality issues involving taste, temperature, and carbonation.

  • Test and verify beverage temperature and carbonation levels during every service call.

  • Perform preventive maintenance to support reliable equipment operation.

  • Rebuild and refurbish equipment at the company’s facility as needed.

  • Occasionally deliver Bag-in-Box (BIB) syrup and CO? supplies to customers.

  • Evaluate customer sites to determine installation requirements and feasibility.

  • Obtain completed and signed equipment loan agreements for new installations.

  • Set up and service beverage equipment for outdoor bars, patios, and seasonal venues.

  • Complete service reports, paperwork, and other required documentation accurately and on time.

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and follow company safety procedures.

Schedule and Travel

  • Work overtime as needed to meet customer and operational demands.

  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including after-hours support for customers with 24/7 service needs.

  • Travel to customer locations across the service territory, with assignments that may include Rochester, Central New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in refrigeration, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and basic refrigeration.

  • Ability to safely and effectively use hand and power tools.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and sound judgment under pressure.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

  • EPA certification or a similar technical credential preferred.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.

  • Ability to frequently stand, bend, kneel, and climb.

  • Ability to work in confined spaces, outdoor conditions, and customer-facing environments.
