Minimum 40 work hours per week.Duration/Length of Assignment: 7 Month Contract to Cover Extended Leave (through December 31, 2025)
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Position Overview:
Our client, a leading organization based in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, is seeking a Benefits Specialist to support their Benefits Team during an extended leave coverage. This role plays a key part in executing wellness and healthcare communication initiatives and assisting with overall benefits administration. The position contributes to ongoing efforts aimed at enhancing employee well-being and improving internal processes related to benefits management. The Benefits Specialist will support internal communication strategies, help organize wellness initiatives, and maintain quality and structure in benefits-related documentation and systems.
Required Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of professional experience in benefits administration or HR support
- Experience with QMS (Quality Management System) processes and review
- Strong writing skills with experience drafting process documents or formal communications
- Familiarity with internal benefits and wellness communications
- Experience managing or supporting file organization, electronic file restructuring, and scanning
- Proven ability to communicate employee initiatives and wellness events
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience with health coaching or wellness program coordination
- Background in healthcare education or benefit awareness campaigns
- Prior exposure to corporate wellness events or planning initiatives
Day to Day/Responsibilities:
- Draft and format internal communications related to benefits, wellness programs, and healthcare education to ensure employees are informed of initiatives and resources
- Communicate company-sponsored wellness events and wellness initiatives through employee channels/notices
- Assist with the drafting and maintenance of process documentation, ensuring all procedures are clearly articulated and accessible
- Perform periodic QMS reviews, contributing to internal compliance efforts by validating documentation for accuracy and alignment with HR policies
- Handle ad hoc benefits requests as directed by team, providing administrative support for ongoing team activities
- Manage electronic benefits files, including scanning documents, reorganizing digital file structures, and labeling content based on team-defined standards
- Follow structured guidance from the Benefits Team to update, maintain, and restructure internal benefit documentation repositories
- Participate in team meetings and support collaboration with other HR personnel for coordination of wellness initiatives and communication strategies
- Provide logistical and administrative support to the Benefits Team on an as-needed basis to maintain smooth operations during extended staff absence
