Job Title: Benefits Specialist - Health & Welfare & Retirement

Duration: Contract through April 2027

Location: New York, NY - Hybrid (3 days onsite, Tuesday-Thursday)

Required Pay Scale: 50-63/hr on W2

Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC or GC candidates

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Benefits Specialist to support a high-volume employee benefits services team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience managing employee benefit cases across Health & Welfare and Retirement plans.

This position requires excellent customer service, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple benefits-related inquiries and cases in a fast-paced environment.

Project Details:

• Support day-to-day employee benefits case management and resolution.
• Manage cases related to Health & Welfare and Retirement benefits.
• Provide support for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), pension, and deferred compensation plans.
• Research and resolve employee benefits inquiries accurately and within established timelines.
• Maintain detailed and accurate case documentation.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Legal, and other internal stakeholders.
• Escalate complex benefits issues when appropriate.
• Help reduce case backlogs and improve case turnaround times.
• Follow established benefits administration processes and service standards.
• Utilize HRIS and case management systems such as Dovetail or similar platforms.

Must Haves

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in employee benefits.
• Strong experience with benefits case management in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with Health & Welfare and/or Retirement plans.
• Knowledge of 401(k), pension, and/or deferred compensation plans.
• Strong customer service and employee-facing communication skills.
• Ability to research, analyze, and resolve benefits-related issues.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and cases simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Desired Skills

• Experience with both Health & Welfare and Retirement benefits.
• Benefits administration or HR Shared Services experience.
• Experience with HRIS or benefits case management systems.
• Experience with Dovetail or similar case management platforms.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience working with cross-functional HR, Payroll, Legal, or Operations teams.

Interview Process:

• Initial interviews will be conducted virtually.
• Interviews may include 2-3 team members.
• Candidates advancing in the process may be invited for a final in-person interview.
