Benefits Specialist

Position Summary:
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for supporting the administration of the employee benefits program, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefit offerings throughout the company. This position assists with benefits enrollments, employee questions, recordkeeping, and benefits communication while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This position will provide support with compensation-related projects and HR reporting. This is an in-person position based at our headquarters in Enfield, CT.
Your Role:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions and provide general guidance on plan options, enrollment, and basic claim support.
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, 401(k) retirement plans, and related employer contributions.
- Support in onboarding and offboarding employees with respect to benefits enrollment and terminations.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of benefits communications, including open enrollment materials, plan updates, and informational sessions.
- Support HR reporting and analytics related to benefits utilization, costs, and employee engagement.
- Maintain consistent, reliable attendance in accordance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
- Adapt to evolving responsibilities and support additional duties as business needs change.
Your Skills:
- Knowledge of health insurance, retirement plans (401K), and related compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bi-Lingual preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to think critically and work independently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and functional teams.

Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in employee benefits administration.
