Benefits Specialist

We’re seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our growing team.

Responsible for administering team member benefits and leaves, maintaining benefits enrollment data and for providing team member support on questions related to benefits, retirement plan, and leaves of absence.

How you’ll make us better:

• Responds to team member inquiries related to their benefits enrollments and leaves of absence
• Maintains leaves of absence tracking file and escalate issues as needed
• Responds to 401(k) retirement plan inquiries related to enrollment and contribution changes
• Maintains HRIS benefits module and all benefit vendors data file feeds
• Assists with open enrollment planning and execution
• Assists with the administration of medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and other benefit programs
• Generates reports concerning benefits, 401(k) retirement plan, and leaves of absence activities
• Oversees HSA funding file and discrepancies during auditing process
• Participates in the preparation of the annual enrollment process
• Stays abreast of changes in existing laws, rules, regulations, and best practices applicable to benefits and HRIS

• Ability to communicate with team members and vendors simultaneously using multiple applications
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Prerequisites for success:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of benefits experience including system administration required
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Excel skills and Outlook) required including advanced skills with V-lookup and pivot tables
