Benefits Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established company near Chandler that is seeking a Benefits Specialist to oversee the administration of comprehensive employee benefit programs for a workforce of several thousand employees.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced HR environment, has strong analytical skills, and enjoys providing exceptional employee support. This role is fully onsite, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Administer all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, 401(k), and voluntary benefits.
  • Support benefits administration for a workforce of several thousand employees across multiple locations.
  • Manage new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and benefit terminations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions, providing timely and accurate guidance.
  • Partner with benefit vendors, insurance carriers, and internal HR teams to resolve eligibility and claims issues.
  • Audit benefit data to ensure accuracy and compliance within the HRIS system.
  • Process and reconcile benefit invoices while assisting with vendor billing discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ERISA.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment planning, employee communications, and educational materials.
  • Analyze benefit trends and recommend process improvements to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain confidential employee information with the highest level of professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of benefits administration experience supporting comprehensive employee benefit programs.
  • Experience administering benefits for large employee populations (several thousand employees preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, and other benefits-related regulations.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and reconcile data.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary up to $95,000, depending on experience
