Location: South Austin, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Pay: $23 - $26 / hour during contract period ($60K–$65K upon conversion)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Benefits: This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, insurance, and 401(K).
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Benefits Specialist to join a growing HR team. This is a key role supporting benefits administration and HR systems during an exciting transition from UKG to Dayforce. The ideal candidate is a true subject matter expert in benefits who can take initiative, manage projects, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain HRIS data, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and vendor coordination
Handle leave of absence processes including FMLA, ADA, and disability
Support open enrollment and respond to employee benefits inquiries
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local benefits regulations
Partner with payroll and internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and deductions
Assist with HR reporting, documentation, and system optimization
Qualifications:
3+ years of dedicated benefits experience (must have a benefits-focused title)
Strong experience working within an HRIS system (Dayforce experience is a plus)
Solid understanding of benefits laws, compliance, and leave administration
Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects
SHRM certification is a plus (not required)
