POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Benefits & Leave Specialist (Temp) will provide hands-on support for benefits administration, Open Enrollment, and employee leave administration during a six-month temporary assignment. This role will also support benefits-related activities associated with Bayview’s Workday implementation, including testing and data review.

We are looking for an experienced benefits professional who can operate independently, think analytically, and exercise sound judgment without requiring significant day-to-day direction. The successful candidate will be able to assess issues, make logical connections, proactively identify next steps, and communicate directly and professionally with employees and internal partners.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Benefits Administration & Open Enrollment

• Support Open Enrollment using UKG Benefits Administration (Benefits Prime).
• Manage day-to-day benefits administration, including employee life events and benefits-related inquiries.
• Respond directly to employee questions and proactively manage benefits-related communications and follow-up.
• Review and reconcile benefits data using Excel, identifying discrepancies and determining appropriate next steps.
• Track and resolve benefits issues independently, escalating when appropriate.

Leave Administration

• Administer employee leaves and serve as a resource for leave-related questions.
• Support leave administration across multiple states and navigate varying state-specific requirements.
• Work directly with employees to clearly and professionally explain leave processes and benefit implications.
• Track leave activity, identify potential issues, and ensure appropriate follow-through and documentation.

Workday Implementation Support

• Assist with benefits-related activities associated with the Workday implementation.
• Support system testing, data validation, and other implementation activities as needed.
• Analyze benefits-related data and processes to identify discrepancies, gaps, and potential issues.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to help troubleshoot and resolve benefits-related system or process issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hands-on experience with UKG Benefits Administration / Benefits Prime, including Open Enrollment.
• Demonstrated experience independently administering employee benefits.
• Extensive employee leave administration experience is required; multi-state leave administration experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and demonstrated ability to analyze, review, and reconcile benefits data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make logical connections and determine next steps with limited direction.
• Ability to independently manage employee inquiries and written communications in a clear, thoughtful, and professional manner.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, judgment, and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and quickly learn new systems and processes.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Workday experience is preferred, particularly implementation and/or testing experience.

LOCATION AND COMPENSATION:

• This position will be remote and will be a six-month temporary assignment.
• The hourly pay range for this position is $35.00–$40.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and business needs.
