    Description

    Syndeo is seeking Bench Top Assembly candidate for a local aerospace company in the Wichita area.  As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling aircraft parts.  To be considered, you must have great attention to detail with 5 years’ similar experience.  As a direct hire, this client is offering a generous hourly rate with a robust benefits package. 

    Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm Friday 7:00 am – 11:00 am

    Pay: BOE 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Verifies customer orders to determine assembly instructions and specifications 
    • Receives job package consisting of final card, special instructions, blueprints, and acceptance test procedures for each job 
    • Receives parts for each job from designated shelves or storage locations 
    • Positions and assembles parts according to special instructions, routings, and blueprints 
    • Measures parts to specified requirements 
    • Deburrs, grinds, and buffs parts 
    • Proficiency in fay and fillet sealing per customer requirements 
    • Ability to install bushings and bearings per customer requirements 
    • Understanding and execution of ClickBond™ processes 
    • Ability to perform assembly and testing of electrical bonds per customer requirements 
    • Cleans, assembles, disassembles, repairs, and replaces parts as required 
    • Operates drill presses, palm/hand drills, arbor presses, hydraulic presses, hand and floor rivet squeezers, sanders, grinders, sealant guns, sealant ovens, and part-specific tools and fixtures 
    • Uses chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, and paints as required 
    • Inspects all parts for cleanliness and defects; completes NCR tags for nonconforming parts and routes issues to Quality as required 
    • Repairs nonconforming parts as required 
    • Sends assembled products to testing and/or final Quality Assurance inspection 
    • Records labor time for each process of assembly 
    • Uses Global Shop for job and time tracking as required 
    • Maintains a clean assembly department and keeps work areas free of foreign object debris (FOD) 
    • Keeps Production Manager advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress related to work assignments 
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing assigned tasks as needed 
    • Other duties as required 

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or GED
    • 5+ year industry experience including assembly / sub-assembly and blueprint reading
    • Problem solving and organizational skills
    • Expertise with drawings, MBD, GD&T, and other aerospace engineering requirements
    • Ability to work from blueprints, routers or work instructions to assemble parts for various aircraft customers
    • Must have attention to detail for assembly parts and have ability to rework/touchup parts as required
    • Ability to use various measurement/inspection tools including but not limited to calipers, tape measure, scales, torque wrenches, air gauges and electrical bond equipment
