    For more than 50 years, NMHSI-a nonprofit community health center-has been committed to improving the health and wellness of communities across Northwest Michigan. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist to join our integrated care team. This will be a split role, working in both our Manistee and Benzonia Clinics.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct behavioral health screenings and assessments for adults, adolescents, and children
    • Provide diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy using a variety of modalities
    • Offer short-term behavioral interventions, crisis management, and care coordination
    • Collaborate with medical providers to address behavioral health needs in primary care
    • Maintain updated community resource connections and make appropriate referrals
    • Complete timely documentation, assessments, and billing requirements within the EHR
    • Provide consultation, training, and support to primary care and dental staff on behavioral health topics

    Qualifications

    • Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) in Michigan
    • Licensure supervision provided: LLMSW or LLPC considered; CAADC preferred but not required
    • Experience providing behavioral health services in a community-based setting preferred
    • Strong teamwork, communication, and crisis intervention skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
    • Commitment to confidentiality and cultural sensitivity
