    Schedule is: Part Time and Full Time

    Hourly rate starts at $23.25-$24.25 depending on MAP certification.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain respectful communication and interactions with consumers at all times.

    • Ensure that individuals have resources needed to make informed choices and are active participants in decisions affecting their lives and supports received.

    • Assist individuals with personal care needs and skill training.

    • Follow all diet protocols as ordered by a physician.

    • Administers medication according to Medication Administration Procedures set forth by DPH. (Residential Only)

    • Report any suspicions of abuse or neglect to the Commission for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities. as a mandated reporter.

    • Report any injuries or potential health problems to program supervisor or nurse.

    • Assist all individuals with their daily needs and ensure that all activities are reflective of their choices.

    • Take initiative to integrate individual into the community in areas of his/her choice.

    • Assist all individuals in meeting goals identified in all areas of the ISP/DHSP and complete daily documentation as indicated.

    • Expose individuals to new ideas and choices, which assist in their continued growth and development.

    • It is responsible for the safety and well-being of all individuals. Is aware of and follows all Individual and Program Specific Safety Plans and approved Positive Behavior Support Plans as written.

    • Must maintain current PABC certification and attend all mandated behavioral trainings.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • Successful completion of LifeStream Behavioral Specialist Training Program.

    • Maintenance of all required Behavioral Specialist certifications and competencies.

    • Demonstrated proficiency in implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans and behavioral teaching strategies.

    • Maintenance of an acceptable CORI and fingerprinting

    • Valid Driver’s license

    • Negative drug screen

    • Use of personal vehicle for work purposes

    • Commitment to the philosophy of community inclusion

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Prior experience working with individuals having a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder preferred.

    • Demonstrated history of quality work performance and teamwork in previous positions.
