    Behavioral Health Registered Nurse – Clearwater, FL

     

    A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse to join its Behavioral Health team. This full-time leadership role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while supporting staff development and promoting clinical excellence in an acute care environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide direct nursing care and oversee the delivery of care for behavioral health patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards

    • Utilize effective leadership and managerial skills to coordinate daily patient care activities and unit operations

    • Serve as a professional role model and clinical resource for nursing team members

    • Promote safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care practices

    • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

    • Support staff development, education, and professional growth initiatives

    • Facilitate communication and share organizational information with team members

    • Demonstrate professional accountability and commitment to continuous improvement

    • Foster a positive, collaborative environment focused on quality care and patient safety

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, or an approved psychiatric nursing certification obtained within seven months of hire

    • Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting required

    • Previous leadership experience preferred

    • Nursing specialty certification preferred

    • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

    • Must meet all applicable background screening requirements
