WC Health is seeking a responsible and professional Behavioral Health Reception & Scheduling Specialist for our Psychiatric Urgent Facility. This role involves direct, hands-on interaction with clients by connecting them to appropriate resources and services as they enter our agency seeking support. We are looking for individuals who are friendly, outgoing, and professional with strong multitasking skills, serving as a welcoming team member and the first point of contact for clients in a fast-paced behavioral health setting.
Manage administrative duties related to patient care, including locating relevant resources and ensuring effective communication across the agency to support patient treatment.
Coordinate services including healthcare support and monitor service adequacy and goal attainment via telephone, in-person, and email/online platforms to ensure continuity of care.
Greet clients seeking services, whether by appointment or crisis walk-in.
Schedule appointments for psychiatric and therapy departments.
Accurately data-track and enter client information into the system.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace tools
Excellent communication skills
Experience with Medicaid documentation strongly preferred
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) strongly preferred
Energetic, upbeat, and positive attitude
Compassion for vulnerable populations served within the agency
High school diploma or GED required
1+ years of front office experience strongly preferred
Prior experience in a healthcare setting (medical clinic, hospital, or behavioral health agency) strongly preferred
Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening
Solid employment history with verifiable references
Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
