Behavioral Health LPN

In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with mental and behavioral health conditions, support treatment plans, and promote a safe, therapeutic environment. We are seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team.

Shifts Available: Nights

Employment Type: Full Time  

Hours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am

Location: Saint John Hospital – Leavenworth, KS

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): 

• Provide direct nursing care to behavioral health patients per treatment plans
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses and side effects
• Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior
• Assist with assessments, admissions, and discharge planning
• Support crisis intervention and de‑escalation as needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow safety guidelines

Qualifications:

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• IV certification within 90 days of hire
