          Position Summary: The Behavioral Health Consultant functions as a core member of the collaborative care team that involves the patient’s primary care provider and other community providers of mental health care, addiction treatment, and alternative health care. The Behavioral Health Consultant is responsible for assisting the primary care provider in facilitating behavioral changes in patients that improve physical, emotional and mental health.

          Qualifications:

          • Master’s degree in social work, counseling; must meet Oregon Administrative Rule qualifications for QMHP.
          • Must have LCSW or LPC license in the state of Oregon, or the ability to obtain license
          • Previous experience with physician practices preferred.
          • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

          GRH serves a broader population of about 35,000 residents, while also providing care for many in the Eastern Oregon and Southeast Washington area. With an employed provider staff of 80, we continue to recruit world-class professionals. We are seeking top-quality candidates to join our dedicated team and collaborate with us in meeting the healthcare needs of our region. Four of our 19 clinics are well-established, certified Primary Care Medical Homes, including the Elgin Clinic, which lies at the north end of our county; and the Union Clinic, which lies at the south end. In 2020, we opened an Urgent Care facility in Island City, just outside of La Grande, where the remainder of our clinics are located.  

          The successful candidate will be employed by GRH and will enjoy a highly competitive salary and rich benefits package.           Very competitive total compensation opportunity (88k+) which includes:

          • RVU bonus based on annual threshold
          • Commencement bonus of $10k
