Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and oversight for a Child and Family Treatment Team.

The Clinical Supervisor will provide direct supervision and consultation to behavioral health clinicians while helping ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and clinically appropriate services to children and families. This position also plays an important role in program development, quality improvement, staff development, and coordination with community providers and organizational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical supervision and oversight to behavioral health clinicians.
• Monitor staff licensure, certification, credentialing, and professional requirements.
• Supervise clinical practice and provide ongoing clinical consultation.
• Conduct clinical case reviews and assist clinicians with complex client situations.
• Develop and implement clinical best practices and standards.
• Monitor client progress and overall quality of clinical service delivery.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, training, and professional development to clinical staff.
• Hold team members accountable for productivity and established performance expectations.
• Ensure timely completion of clinical documentation, including:
• • Progress notes
  • Treatment plans
  • Treatment plan revisions
  • Discharge or termination documentation
• Ensure clinical services remain compliant with Medicaid, payer, regulatory, and funding requirements.
• Assist with determining appropriate caseloads, staffing coverage, and service schedules.
• Develop and implement new clinical services and programs as appropriate.
• Develop and implement service productivity policies and procedures.
• Coordinate utilization review and utilization management activities.
• Coordinate and participate in clinical chart audits.
• Evaluate clinical services and implement quality-improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with clinical teams to develop quality-improvement processes.
• Support team development, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
• Serve as a resource for team problem-solving and distribute relevant educational and clinical resources.
• Collaborate with technical services staff to develop and maintain appropriate data-tracking processes.
• Develop alternatives to psychiatric hospitalization when clinically appropriate, with an emphasis on minimizing unnecessary hospitalization.
• Serve as a clinical liaison between organizational leadership, clinical staff, community providers, and outside agencies.
• Provide clinical expertise and recommendations regarding policies, procedures, and treatment practices.
• Maintain positive and professional working relationships with clients, families, coworkers, community providers, and partner agencies.
• Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Active and valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential.
• Previous clinical practice experience within a behavioral health setting.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health treatment principles and clinical best practices.
• Ability to provide effective clinical supervision, coaching, mentoring, and staff development.
• Ability to manage individuals and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to plan, evaluate, and improve behavioral health services.
• Experience or demonstrated ability to develop and implement clinical policies and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-based environment.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in a comparable clinical leadership or supervisory position.
• Experience within a managed-care organization, behavioral health provider group, governmental agency, or similar healthcare environment.
• Previous experience supporting quality or health-improvement initiatives.
• Experience with utilization review, clinical chart audits, and quality assurance.
• Previous experience working with children, adolescents, and families is strongly preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Valid Oregon driver's license.
• Must be insurable for client-service and work-related travel.
• Ability to travel between business locations and attend required meetings and trainings.
• Must successfully complete required criminal background checks.
• Must successfully complete required drug screening.
• Reliable and consistent attendance is required.
• Must be able to maintain professional working relationships with clients, families, coworkers, leadership, and outside agencies.
