Provides psychological services to assist a varied student body in attaining their educational, interpersonal, and academic goals. Psychological services include individual assessment/counseling; clinical crisis services; group counseling; psycho-educational outreach programming/consultation to students, staff, faculty, administrators, and parents/families; supervision/training of mental health graduate students; and commitment to promoting a welcoming & respectful environment within marginalized communities. This position consults with campus units to conduct needs assessments; Manages/facilitates all facets of outreach & prevention programming/services for University Counseling Service (UCS); Develops policy/procedures for implementation; Facilitates internal evaluation of services/program metrics/outcomes; Participates in ongoing team management of all facets of operations; Develops/maintains partnerships & collaborations with university constituents; Serves on UCS senior leadership team as Associate Director of Outreach and Prevention; and Provides administrative supervision for some UCS staff.
Specific responsibilities include:
This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. A hybrid work schedule is permitted contingent upon student demand for in-person appointments. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
