    Behavioral Health Care Coordinator / Administrative Coordinator

    Location: Johnston, Iowa – Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training CenterSchedule: Generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with approximately one evening and one weekend per month and occasional additional support based on mission requirementsTravel: Approximately 10% throughout IowaWork Arrangement: On-site/telework flexibility based on mission requirements

    Position Summary

    Cetechs is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Behavioral Health Care Coordinator to support the Iowa Army National Guard Behavioral Health Program at Camp Dodge in Johnston, Iowa.

    This position provides healthcare coordination, medical-record, scheduling, and administrative support to the behavioral health team. The Care Coordinator works closely with Behavioral Health Case Managers, Service Members, military units, healthcare providers, and Iowa Army National Guard medical-readiness personnel.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare administrator, medical administrative professional, care coordinator, medical records professional, or military healthcare support professional.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Create, manage, and coordinate behavioral health appointments and consultations for Service Members.
    • Track medical and behavioral-health appointments and follow up with military units regarding attendance and required documentation.
    • Assist Service Members with identifying available behavioral-health and healthcare resources.
    • Maintain current lists of community and healthcare resources throughout Iowa.
    • Assist with resolving scheduling conflicts and coordinating behavioral-health care.
    • Obtain required Release of Information documentation.
    • Request, receive, organize, and maintain behavioral-health medical documentation.
    • Perform administrative charting for behavioral-health cases in electronic health record systems.
    • Prepare behavioral-health medical charts and supporting documentation for appointments.
    • Scan, upload, index, stamp, and maintain medical records and behavioral-health documentation.
    • Assist Behavioral Health Case Managers with medical-readiness and administrative actions.
    • Prepare monthly behavioral-health reports and administrative correspondence.
    • Support Periodic Health Assessments (PHA), Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP), and other medical-readiness events.
    • Coordinate with Iowa Army National Guard behavioral health, medical readiness, suicide prevention, family support, resiliency, and related programs.
    • Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, Privacy Act, and military medical-record requirements.
    • Travel to Iowa Army National Guard facilities as required.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare, healthcare administration, human resources, business administration, medical administration, or a related field.
    • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
    • Experience coordinating appointments, records, documentation, or client/patient services.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
    • Working knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare delivery systems.
    • Experience working with computerized client, patient, or case-management systems.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidential medical and personally identifiable information.
    • Ability to meet Department of Defense background investigation, installation-access, and Common Access Card requirements.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
    • Previous military, National Guard, Department of Defense, VA, or healthcare experience.
    • Experience working with military personnel or Veterans.
    • Familiarity with Army or Air Force medical-readiness processes.
    • Electronic health record or medical-records experience.
    • Experience working with community healthcare or behavioral-health agencies.

    Additional Requirements

    Candidates must be able to successfully complete required Department of Defense background and security processes and required Government training. The position may require approximately 10% travel throughout Iowa and periodic evening and weekend work, including National Guard drill weekends.
