Behavior Technician - San Francisco

Behavior Technicians work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior plans at a clients home or in a community setting. Behavior Technicians help clients acquire a variety of new skills, including communication, social skills, and life skills, and reduce problem behaviors. Day in the life of a GOALS Behavior Technician could include:

• Traveling to a clients home and other community settings to deliver services
• Working 1:1 with children and adolescents to implement a behavioral plan
• Incorporating families and caregivers into therapy sessions per the treatment plan
• Collecting detailed and accurate data and service notes
• Receiving ongoing support and mentorship from GOALS supervisors

Requirements:

• Passion for helping children with special needs, and patience is a must!
• Reliable, timely, organized, with great attention to detail
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to obtain a negative TB test
• Reliable transportation, public or private
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• College credit, an associates degree, or a bachelors degree preferred
• Childcare and/or special needs experience preferred
• Must be willing to work a minimum of 10-15 hours a week
• Monday-Friday availability preferred
