Behavior Specialist - Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) | BCBA Preferred
Qualifications:
Must possess a current New York State license and registration as a Licensed Behavioral Analyst (LBA). Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification preferred.
Experience working with elementary-age students with intensive behavioral and/or special education needs strongly preferred.
Experience working in highly supportive or restrictive special education settings, including 8:1:3 programs, preferred.
Experience conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and developing, implementing, and monitoring Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Experience utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and evidence-based behavioral interventions in educational settings.
Experience developing and implementing crisis intervention and behavioral safety plans.
CPI certification and/or experience with crisis prevention and intervention preferred.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, related service providers, families, and other school personnel to ensure consistent and accurate implementation of behavioral supports and intervention plans.
Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate interventions, inform behavioral and instructional practices, and improve student outcomes.
Experience providing consultation, coaching, and support to school staff regarding behavioral interventions and student needs.
Commitment to ongoing professional growth, reflective practice, and continued professional learning.
New York State certification in School Psychology or School Social Work a plus.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. This role is also a contracted position with health benefits as well as retirement benefits through ERS.
