Description

A health services organization is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist in Niagara Falls, NY. This role focuses on behavioral assessments, support planning, staff training, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams across residential and community settings.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible start and end times
  • Setting: In-person

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavioral assessments using baseline, proactive, and reactive data.
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to individuals served.
  • Train staff on behavior support plan implementation and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, families, and outside care providers on behavioral and mental health needs.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a clinical or treatment-related field such as psychology.
  • Documented training in assessment techniques and behavior support development.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Behavior Intervention Specialist.
  • At least 5 years of direct experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to travel between multiple service locations in the area.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and participate in occasional on-call coverage.

Desired Skills:

  • BCBA certification.
  • Experience with OPWDD services.
  • Familiarity with SCIP or PROMOTE training.
  • Experience using PrecisionCare.
