Overview
The Behavior Counselor assumes a supportive role in the ongoing development and implementation of program wide behavior management program and policies; provides non-professional counseling to residents and/or students; provides crisis prevention and intervention to individual clients, coaches direct care staff in appropriate crisis prevention and intervention.

Qualifications
High School diploma or GED and at least one (1) year of experience working with children and families, preferably in the child welfare and/or special education industry. Bachelor's degree preferred; may be substituted with a Registered Behavior Technician certification. May be certified as a trainer in related models and interventions.
