Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Under guidance and direction of the Children's Program Coordinator, the Children's Program Assistant will assist in executing the 3 components of our Children's Programming: Bible Study, homework help, and craft or playtime, at a specific campus. This person will consistently offer a high level of excellence and care in Children's Programming for children aged infant‐5th grade.

  • Assist in conducting age‐appropriate activities for the children infant through 5th grade. This will include a Bible study, help with homework as needed, and time for play
  • Aid elementary‐aged children with homework and provide tutoring in math, literacy, reading, and other subjects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

There are two location that are available: Woodbine and Madison.

Works in well-lit, ventilated and climate-controlled environment. Noise level in the work environment is typical for a childcare or school environment. The physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.

Required Qualifications

This is an off‐campus position.

Applicants MUST have Federal Work Study and reliable means of transportation to be considered.

Training and resources will be provided to you by the Program Manager and/or Children's Program Coordinator.

Required EducationMust be enrolled as a student at Belmont University. Required Experience Experience working with children, preferably in a church or Christian environment Willingness to work with different cultures and faith beliefs Pleasant and calm demeanor in working with children, staff members, volunteers, and others
