POSITION SUMMARY:The Site Coordinator is responsible for all on-site operations of the before and after school or Y academic center, ensuring children are actively engaged in safe and enriching activities as well as communicating with key stakeholders, which include school administration, staff, and parents. This positions is also responsible for implementing monthly before and after school enrichment curriculum. This position provides supervision support to all site-based associates: youth specialists, senior youth specialists and program volunteers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
With support from a Site Manager or Program Director, provide oversight to the day-to-day operations of the before and after school enrichment programMeet the needs of children, families, and the community within the scope and goals of the Y's Family Services philosophy and the guidelines of the OCC through operating an effective and quality before and after school enrichment programEnsure adequate coverage for the site at all timesResponsible for all aspects of programming including safety, risk management, supervision of children and staff, meeting quality guidelines, curriculum standards, OCC regulations, DHMH regulations, and any other standard, policy, or procedure as deemed necessary by the Y in Central MarylandLead meetings with associates as necessary
Attend team meetings and monthly curriculum meetingsTrain and supervise site staff on OCC regulations, Y policies and procedures, and other standards as set forth by the Y in Central MarylandContribute feedback and participate as directed in associate performance reviews and performance improvement plan meetingsUse the monthly curriculum materials for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activates that are consistent with approved curriculumParticipate in back-to-school nights, parent committees and Y special events as neededCommunicate regularly (at least monthly), orally, and in writing with school principal and participate in faculty and committee meetings when school allowsAccurately document attendance and emergency information on each childMaintain up-to-date records on all enrolled childrenSatisfy required training expectations; participate in opportunities for professional growth such as workshops, conferences, college, and graduate courses as required by the Program Director; complete continuing education units as specified by the OCC on an annual basis
