Job Title: Cleanroom Laboratory Technician - Day Shift (Compressed Work Week)Job Description

This role serves as a key liaison between the laboratory and the laser safety room, supporting the processing, testing, and cleaning of steel parts used in semiconductor equipment. The technician works in a critically controlled cleanroom environment, monitoring and documenting work, cleaning and reassembling parts, and ensuring all procedures are followed accurately. Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the lab and the laser safety room, spending regular intervals in the laser room to monitor processes, document activities, and clean steel parts installed in semiconductor equipment.
• Process and test parts and assemblies received from high-tech manufacturing customers, ensuring all work meets established quality and safety standards.
• Test, package, and prepare customer parts and equipment within a critically controlled cleanroom environment, following all cleanroom protocols.
• Read, follow, and complete written work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring each step is performed correctly and documented upon completion.
• Perform assigned tasks in the cleanroom while consistently adhering to required cleanroom garments, PPE, and quality protocols.
• Support inventory management activities to help maintain proper stocking levels of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure the work area, equipment, and tools remain clean, organized, and properly maintained to support efficient and safe operations.
• Assist as needed at the wet bench, including working with chemicals in accordance with safety procedures and guidelines.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams, clearly articulating technical information and status updates both verbally and in writing.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues related to parts, assemblies, and manufacturing processes, escalating when necessary.
• Perform mechanical assembly, cleaning, and re-assembly of semiconductor parts and tools, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain punctuality and strong attention to detail, contributing to a reliable and high-quality work environment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3+ months of experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• At least 3+ months of mechanical assembly experience, including cleaning and re-assembling semiconductor parts and tools.
• At least 3+ months of experience reading schematics or standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Proven ability to write and document clearly using word-processing software, supported by references or education.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience working with computers on at least a weekly basis.
• Consistent tenure of approximately 2+ years on average in previous roles, demonstrating stability and reliability.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with tools, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong documentation skills and computer proficiency, including use of Word, ERP systems, and engineering documentation related to safety SOPs.
• Ability to clearly articulate information to engineering and operations teams, both verbally and in writing.
• Comfort working with chemicals, including willingness to assist at a wet bench when needed.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, maintain focus, and perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and punctuality, essential for working in a controlled lab and cleanroom setting.

• Experience with chemical handling, chemical testing, or laboratory work.
• Background in troubleshooting mechanical or basic electrical issues within a manufacturing or lab environment.
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Experience working in collaboration with operations and engineering teams.
• Good overall work history and tenure, reflecting long-term commitment and reliability.
• Ability to thrive in a structured, process-driven environment with clear protocols and documentation requirements.

Work Environment

The role is based in a lab and cleanroom environment, working closely with operations and engineering teams on semiconductor-related parts and assemblies. The schedule follows a back-end day shift compressed work week: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday through Saturday, plus every other Wednesday, with built-in overtime on four-day weeks. Work is performed in a critically controlled cleanroom with strict adherence to garments, PPE, and safety protocols, including occasional work at a wet bench with chemicals. The dress code requires long pants and steel-toed shoes provided by the employee; all other PPE is supplied. The environment emphasizes punctuality, precision, and attention to detail. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
