Business Development Director

Shape and lead a high-impact growth strategy across the Southeast. Build a market presence with direct access to executive leadership.

The organization is investing heavily in growth and offers the opportunity to help build a business development function with significant autonomy and executive visibility. They operate in the multifamily renovation and Capex space throughout the country.

Job Description

Develop and execute business development strategies to support regional and national growth initiatives. Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the construction and property management sectors. Build and maintain relationships with property managers, ownership groups, facility leaders, and other key decision-makers. Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade shows to expand market presence. Conduct site visits and property walks with prospective clients. Maintain CRM activity, track performance metrics, and report on business development KPIs. Partner closely with executive leadership to support growth objectives and market expansion. Represent the company professionally while strengthening brand awareness throughout the Southeast.

The Successful Applicant

Business development experience within the construction industry. Proven success selling services rather than products. Experience with restoration, renovation, specialty contracting, facility services, or related construction sectors strongly preferred. Ability to confidently engage owners, property managers, and construction stakeholders. Strong existing network of industry relationships, particularly in the Carolinas and Southeast market. Demonstrated track record of generating and winning new business. Experience utilizing CRM platforms to manage activities, pipelines, and reporting. Understanding of construction projects, project lifecycles, and financial performance metrics. Self-motivated professional capable of operating effectively in a remote environment.
