High-growth small molecules CRO expanding its Discovery team across the US.
Develop and execute business development strategies to secure new client relationships. Open and cultivate 20+ new accounts annually, converting opportunities into long-term strategic partnerships. Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers, including CEOs, CSOs, R&D leaders, and outsourcing executives. Identify opportunities across drug discovery, development, and manufacturing services. Lead commercial discussions, presentations, and contract negotiations. Partner closely with scientific, operational, and leadership teams to align client needs with service capabilities. Conduct market analysis and evaluate growth opportunities within the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings. Manage a consultative sales process from prospect identification through account expansion. Contribute to ambitious revenue and profitability growth objectives.

BS or MS in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline. MBA preferred. Strong understanding of small molecule drug discovery, development, and commercialization. 5-10 years of experience within biotechnology, biopharma, CRO, CMO, or CDMO environments. Experience supporting or selling to biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical organizations, or outsourced development partners. Consulting experience serving life sciences clients is highly desirable. Demonstrated success developing new business opportunities and managing strategic customer relationships. Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and financial acumen. High emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness. Self-motivated, coachable, results-oriented, and highly driven.
