    BCBA - Behavior Specialist

    The Chesterfield Township School District, a high-achieving PK-6 district located in northwestern Burlington County, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for the 2026-2027 school year.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Valid BCBA Certification
    • NJDOE Certification - General Education, Special Education, of Educational Services certificate with School Social Worker or School Psychologist endorsement preferred
    • Degree from accredited college or university
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of effective behavior management strategies, student motivation, classroom management, student growth and development, and effective instructional strategies.
    • Demonstration of strong communication skills (written and oral)
    • Enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well with children, school staff, parents, and community members.
    • Formal training in crisis management, de-escalation techniques, and/or safe physical intervention (e.g., CPI, Handle with Care, etc.)
    • Criminal history background check
    • Proof of US citizenship or legal resident status

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments/Analyses
    • Develop Individualized Behavior Plans
    • Develop social skills groups and interventions
    • Train school personnel in intervention plans
    • Assist educational staff in implementing behavioral programming, both individual and classroom
    • Participate in in-service training and present in-service training as assigned
    • Consult with families and/or other agency personnel, as needed.

    Salary/ Benefits

    • Per CTEA negotiated salary guide, based on experience and earned degree level
    • Minimum $61,265 - Maximum $95,155
    • Related Service Providers shall follow the 10-month school year calendar and will may additional opportunities for summer hours and evaluations (per diem).
    • In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical, prescription, vision, dental insurance, and paid time off.
    • Employees will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
