Description

 We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our SNF Baylor program. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to residents during scheduled weekend shifts while ensuring compliance with facility policies, clinical standards, and state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Perform nursing assessments and monitor residents for changes in condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Assist with care planning and coordinate resident care with CNAs, LPNs, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in residents' conditions.
  • Provide wound care and other treatments as ordered.
  • Monitor vital signs, labs, and other clinical indicators.
  • Supervise and provide direction to LPNs and CNAs as appropriate.
  • Promote infection prevention, resident safety, and quality of care.
  • Participate in required in-services, meetings, and quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable CMS, state, and facility regulations.

Baylor Schedule

The exact Baylor arrangement may vary by facility, but typically involves working a set number of weekend hours in exchange for enhanced compensation or being paid for additional hours. For example, some Baylor programs pay 36 hours for 24 hours worked over the weekend.

Qualifications

  • Current and active RN license in the applicable state.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Previous SNF/LTC experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively during weekend shifts.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.
