    About the role

    At our advanced battery module manufacturing and battery pack assembly facility in Mason, Ohio, you will be the hands-on leader who keeps production moving safely, smoothly, and on target. In a fast-paced startup setting, you’ll set the tone for a high-performance culture built on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    A day in the life

    • Start with a floor walk to assess line readiness, material flow, and safety conditions.
    • Align operators and manufacturing technicians around shift goals; coach, support, and remove roadblocks.
    • Ensure standardized work and manufacturing procedures are followed to meet safety, quality, and production targets.
    • Track output, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and other operational metrics; take action on trends.
    • Escalate production, quality, or equipment issues quickly and coordinate resolutions.
    • Collaborate constantly with maintenance, quality, warehouse/logistics, engineering, and production planning to keep lines running.
    • Drive process improvements and lean initiatives; help define workflows, standards, and processes as volumes scale.
    • Model operational discipline, teamwork, accountability, and clear communication across the floor.
    • Support onboarding, training, and performance development for hourly production personnel.

    What you'll own

    • Day-to-day supervision of assigned production areas and/or shifts.
    • Adherence to safety, quality, and throughput standards and standardized work.
    • Material flow and line readiness to maintain production continuity.
    • Implementation of process changes and continuous improvement activities.
    • Contributing to the build-out of high-performance manufacturing culture and scalable operations.

    What you bring

    • 3–7 years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience leading hourly production teams.
    • Strong grasp of manufacturing operations, safety procedures, and quality systems.
    • Calm, decisive leadership in fast-paced production environments; strong coaching and problem-solving skills.
    • Hands-on approach with a willingness to spend significant time on the floor.
    • Experience with lean and continuous improvement preferred.
    • Background in automotive, battery, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or other high-volume production preferred.
    • Outstanding organizational skills, operational discipline, and cross-functional collaboration (engineering, operations, quality, logistics, maintenance).
